Fritz arrived in our hotel lobby to greet us right on time and it was a full and informative day from there. We took the cable cars to the top and journeyed out to 5 Fingers with spectacular views along the way. “The trip from Salzburg to Hallstatt with Anna was absolutely delightful. Anna is funny, smart, and friendly. You will not find a better tour guide for this region of Austria! Anna picked us up in a clean, comfortable car at our hotel in Salzburg and drove us to Hallstatt. My wife and I took the tram up the mountain. We hiked on the mountainside and toured the salt mine. Afterward we had a marvelous lunch of fresh, local fish at a Hallstatt restaurant with Anna. Anna then guided us on a walk around Hallstatt as evening settled in. The beauty of the village at twilight shortly after Christmas was magical.…”

“We had the best day with our guide Michael Hallstatt! The weather was perfect. He took us past some beautiful scenery and photo ops then we went to 5 Fingers which was amazing. You can spend hours there- lots of walking though so if that is not your thing you may want to rethink that stop. Hallstatt was picture perfect and we had a fabulous lunch at a restaurant on the lake - Michael got us a VIP seat right in the dock of the lake. Definitely worth the money to have a private tour.
