8.Salzburg Panorama Cruise on the Salzach river

★★★★★★★★★★3.5 · 46 reviews · 40 minutes (approx.) · from $24

A 40-minute Salzach river speed-boat cruise with live English commentary, mountain views from Salzburg’s south, and a playful Mozart-ending.

“We booked this as the only way we could see to get onto the river. The truth is that you really don't see anything that you cans't see from the shore, so there are no real surprises. To be fair, the river level was dropping at the time of our cruise, so our time on the river had to be shortened. Obviously not the tour company's fault.”

“Our tour guide Carlos was AMAZING! When we told him we did not want to do the sound of music tour but was on our list, he instantly had a suggestion for our itinerary that even included a few other things we did not know about (including a stop at the Silent Night Church market...so special) and a trip up the mountain to see the Alps. Carlos was super informative and full of GREAT suggestions. He was an exceptional tour guide and total professional. We were on a river cruise and although I made sure to send our location information in advance, he followed up with the cruise company! I…”

Salzburg: River Cruise & Best of Mozart Fortress Concert - Meeting at Franz-Josef-Kai: Easy to Find, Easy to Mis-time

11.River Cruise & Best of Mozart Fortress Concert

★★★★★★★★★★3.9 · 14 reviews · 2h 30m · from $77

A small-group Salzburg evening combining a Salzach river cruise and a Best of Mozart concert in Hohensalzburg Fortress.

“I booked a river cruise & best of Mozart fortress concert. The information I received indicates overall activity is a total 2hours, starting at 4:00pm, and I thought would be finishing at 6:00pm. I had no idea that the concert was going to start at 8:00pm. Which we couldn’t attend because we had to catch a train. Unfortunately I felt the whole thing was west of money. It was not made clear that the concert would start at 8:00PM. when I wrote to the organizers they didn't even apologies for the misleading information. In all this was not worthwhile and west of money for us.”
