A small-group Austrian wine tasting in a discreet bar: 3 guided wines plus regional snacks, with an optional 90-minute bar hop for more pours.

“We had an amazing time tasting Austrian wines. We had 3 full glasses of wine, and weren’t rushed to finish. We also had toasts which were yummy. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was easy to understand. It was an intimate setting, with locals also enjoying wine alongside of us. Felt like a great cultural experience. Would highly recommend.”

4.Salzburg Food Tasting Tour: delicious & fun

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 29 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $696

3-hour Salzburg food tour with a private guide: Mozartkugel, Salzburger Nockerl, farmers market bites, coffee, and classic dishes.

“After reading reviews, I was looking forward to having Micheala as a guide. Instead we had Claudia sub in for her. Claudia didn’t offer up much info, only when probed for questions. It did not seem like she had given this tour many times. Claudia was nice, but maybe not the best tour guide. There was a very small amount of food that was offered to taste. I would only recommend this tour if Micheala was the guide.”

5.Guided Wine Tasting in a Hidden Wine Bar

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 12 reviews · 45 minutes (approx.) · from $45

Guided wine tasting in Salzburg at De Gustibus. Three Austrian wines with snacks in 45 minutes, English-friendly, with an optional premium upgrade.

“The wine tasting was pleasant overall, but the experience didn’t quite match the description. The “hidden wine bar” turned out to be on a main street in the town, and the setting itself wasn’t particularly distinctive in terms of decor or atmosphere. Only white wines were offered They were decent, though a bit more variety would have been welcome. Our group made the experience enjoyable, but the host didn’t seem especially engaged. Still, it was a relaxed way to sample local Austrian wines and the accompanying snacks were tasty.”
